Who is Ruiqi?
Ruiqi Wang is a designer and creative technologist. He graduated from RISD in 2019 with a BFA in Industrial Design and subsequently received his MFA in 2021 from the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU Tisch.
Inspired by his childhood passion for toys and interactivity, his work is a dynamic fusion of experiental design, technological innovation, and artful play. Guided by philosophy-driven curiosity, he explores materiality, spacial dynamics and emerging tech to challenge the ways we interact with and move through the world. Through his projects he seeks to prompt conversations that challenge conventional perceptions and craft experiences that resonate on both an emotional and intellectual level. His work serves as a vessel through which he navigates the ever-evolving landscape of humanity and technology and their ever-changing interplay.
Ruiqi Wang was born and raised in Shanghai and is currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
